Hey all, On the Solo Duo Trio server the Chinook crate is bugged and there is an update But the way I have the server setup with my host they only apply critical updates and the update with the fix for the chinook crate is an optional update so they will not push it to my server. 🙁
So next month I will adjust the server to were we can run all the updates when we want. I would do it right now but with the luck, I have had with this host I’m afraid it will wipe the map so I will wait until wipe day to adjust the server.

I turned Decay on in the X5 gather server and is going well. So I will be turning Decay on the Solo Duo Trio server as well.
I will do that on the next wipe on 10/04/18
Update:: I got the map back. So everything should be restored.
Hey all, My host Updated my VDS Server for my Solo Duo Trio Rust server, And it was not supposed to mess with my data. But I just got home and found the server was wiped.
So to not lose all progress my host is restoring from backup from the 11th so We will lose a couple days. Sorry about that.
The last time they updated, The same thing happened and they said it should not have happened.
Hey all, Yesterday we had an issue with the Solo, Duo, Trio server was kicking people for flyhack violations. I went on with another player that let me know what was happening. and found that the map was badly corrupted. I was just going to wipe the map since no one had made any basses yet, and accidentally did a full server wipe. So we are starting fresh no Blueprints Sorry about that.
We will be turning decay on for the 5X gather server. With the 5X gather rate, we should be able to keep our bases up easily. I will try this next month on wipe day.
If you don’t think we should try this let me know in the comments.
Update: We also took away instacraft and no fuel requirements It was just to easy with all that.
All looks good, No problems updating the server today. I’m looking forward to the new blueprint system : )

The Rust server is updated and working. The only thing that’s not working is RustIO Map. Just waiting on that plugin to update.
But everything else works fine.
Update:: The old map is back… Backed up from last night so maybe a little setback. Better than starting over.
Hey, I looked into upgrading my VDS server to a more powerful server and I contacted my host and asked if this would wipe my Rust server and they said there would be no data loss on the upgrade. So I went ahead and upgraded my VDS from 4 core to 6 core. And Umm yeah it wiped the map.
I now have a ticket in support to see if they can fix it for us. If it cannot be fixed I’m sorry.
On the other hand, we do have a better Server.
Update:: This really sucks 🙁 So far we have restored from a backup with no luck. I don’t think we will get it back.
The support ticket is still open. I’m hoping maybe the CEO will come in on my ticket he has jumped in on my tickets before and fixed things others
could not fix.
Sorry, Last night there was a Scheduled VDS Server update that I knew was going to happen and I forgot to backup my server files before the update in case something happened. Well, something must have gotten messed up and the result was a map wipe for the Rust server #1 Sorry.
Update: For the person that left me and everyone else messages on the Rust server. I did not wipe the server. The map somehow got corrupt in the VDS update. I woke up to the Map wipe.
And why would I risk losing players that I have with an unscheduled map wipe?
And yes I do play on the servers, I make that clear on the forums here
I play with a none admin account Named Drew I don’t raid and I don’t go actively after people. I farm and build and will defend if someone comes to raid.

Most of the people I run into on the server I tell them I’m the Owner and I also told you. So If you have a problem you can move on.

Everything seems to be working fine now. But when the servers restart it takes about 15 minutes for you to be able to log back on. Hopefully, that will get better with future updates.
The new Rust update is really wreaking havoc on our servers. I just got this from our host I will post it below. So, for now, the servers are running like crap.. nothing I can do about that. Sorry

Today’s Rust release contains a major change to the way it runs. Every time that each server is started, the game server now re-calculates an AI pathfinding mesh for the entire map, using 100% of every available CPU core for a minimum of several minutes (longer for complicated or large maps). While it is doing this, the server can’t be used and does not respond to queries.
This is wreaking havoc on our systems by completely destroying the performance of machines. In cases where a machine hosts multiple Rust servers, they can take 10s of minutes to start, also leading our systems to think that the servers are not working properly and repeatedly restarting them.
To allow machines to continue to be usable by our systems and other customers, we are temporarily reducing the priority of all Rust servers to be lower than other processes on our machines, until the developer fixes this (either by removing the new code entirely or by modifying it to be much more well-behaved, such as by performing the calculation in a single low-priority background thread). We hope that the developer fixes it ASAP.
Update: We also are noticing that servers are using far more CPU than they did previously, following today’s update (servers that were using 50% of a core are now using 100%). We do not know if this is related to the new AI code, but if it’s not fixed with another update, we will likely have to raise prices to compensate for it.
All in all, this is perhaps the worst update we’ve seen yet in terms of server performance.
